Minister Qualtrough announced $63.5 million in funding over five years for 68 projects across Canada as a part of the Union Training and Innovation Program (UTIP). This funding will help certify skilled tradespeople and help them fill jobs as our economy continues to restart.
This program works to reduce barriers to participation and success in Red Seal trades. This investment is a part of our commitment to create a million jobs, restore employment to pre-pandemic levels, make the largest training investment in Canadian history, and create opportunities for young people.
