Within the past two years our government has invested over $1.9 million in projects here in Avalon through the Atlantic Fisheries Fund (AFF) which was created to help harvesters, processors, and the aquaculture sectors adapt to the changing tide in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Our Government made a commitment to see the industry thrive and I’m proud that more than 23 projects were funding right here in Avalon through this program within the past 18 months.
There’s a bright future in NL and our fish harvestors know that by greening their industy and investing in green technology is our path to future success in the industry and our Government has proven that we’re going to make that happen for them.
